About Us

Announcement

We are thrilled to announce that LocalDefib.ie is now under the new ownership of Cathal Callanan of IT7.ie. Cathal brings a wealth of experience to this role, not only as a technology professional but also as a retained firefighter with Greystones Fire Station, deeply committed to serving the community. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ian Mullen of Ross Printing for his invaluable contributions and for ensuring a seamless transfer of ownership. His dedication over the past several years has been truly inspiring, and we deeply appreciate all the great work he has done. Stay tuned! We have some exciting updates and enhancements planned for the site in the near future, and we can’t wait to share them with you. We look forward to continuing to serve our community with the same commitment and quality you’ve come to expect.

Our Mission

“Our mission is to raise awareness of your local defibrillator’s location before the need arises. By knowing where to find your local defib, you’ll be prepared to act quickly and access the device in an emergency. But we need your help to register all defibrillators across Ireland. Please spread the word and let everyone know to register their local defib at localdefib.ie.”

Disclaimer

We are not responsible for inaccuracies in AED locations or for any omissions of AED locations on our website. Additionally, we are not accountable for the maintenance, upkeep, or operational readiness of the AEDs listed. Our role is solely to provide a platform that enables individuals and organizations to register their AEDs, helping to raise awareness of their locations. This way, in the event of an emergency, people can easily find the nearest AED—whether at home, work, or while at leisure. Our goal is to facilitate quick access to this life-saving equipment, but the responsibility for ensuring AEDs are properly maintained lies with the AED owners or custodians.
